Cookies / tracking

Cookies allow us to provide important site functionality, so you do not have to re-enter lots of information. They also allow us to remember what links and pages have been clicked or viewed during a session. If you have provided us with personal data, completing a contact form for example, we may associate this personal data with other information. This will allow us to identify and record what is most relevant to you.

By using your browser controls, you are always in control of the cookies we store and access on your computer. More information on how to control cookies and limit personal data processing can be found at www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/five-top-tips. How you can control the information collected by Google on these sites and apps

Here are some of the ways you can control the information that is shared by your device when you visit or interact with sites and apps that use Google services:

  • Ad Settings helps you to control ads that you see on Google services, such as Google Search or YouTube, or on non-Google websites and apps that use Google ad services. You can also learn how ads are personalised, opt out of ad personalisation and block specific advertisers.
  • If you are signed in to your Google Account, and depending on your Account settings, My Activity allows you to review and control data created when you use Google services, including information collected from sites and apps that you have visited.
  • Many websites and apps use Google Analytics to understand how visitors engage with their sites or apps. If you do not want Analytics to be used in your browser, you can install the Google Analytics browser add-on. Learn more about Google Analytics and privacy.
  • Incognito mode in Chrome allows you to browse without recording web pages and files in your browser or Account history, unless you choose to sign in. Learn more about cookies.
  • Many browsers, including Chrome, allow you to block third-party cookies. You can also clear existing cookies from your browser. Learn more about managing cookies in Chrome.

Please note you might continue to receive generic ads. For more information about our use of cookies and other tracking technologies, as well as how to opt out of the use of cookies, please refer to our Cookie Policy below.

Our main cookies

1. Google Analytics Cookies

Google Analytics is a website monitoring tool that allows users to see volumes of website visitors, their source, and to analyse how the content of their website is viewed and navigated. This in turn allows optimisation of the content and pages and the marketing programs that drive traffic to the website. Google Analytics does not store any personal information about website visitors, but does use persistent cookies to identify repeat visitors. You may universally opt out of all Google Analytics tracking used by all websites by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

2. GatorLeads Cookies

GatorLeads is a tool that identifies the business or organisation that website visitors belong to, based on a reverse IP lookup. GatorLeads also uses cookies to process this identification, and personal information about individual users is stored. Cookies used by GatorLeads store information about your current web-browsing session, such as pages viewed and time on site, and the dates and times of previous website visits.

More information on how these cookies are used can be found on the Spotler website: https://spotler.co.uk/cookie-policy/. This information is used by us to profile website visitors, in order to better understand the way in which our website content is viewed by different segments. It is also used, for example, to identify the types of organisations that might be interested in purchasing services from us.

3. Email Marketing Post-Click Tracking Cookies

These cookies are used to report on the pages that have been viewed by visitors to the site who have followed links from our email marketing campaigns. This analysis helps us to understand additional content viewed by contacts in our database and allows us to improve and tailor future campaigns to their specific areas of interest. More information about cookies and how to opt out can be found in the Spotler cookie policy.

Beacons / Pixels

On our website and in our emails we use web beacons. When we send emails to Customers, we may track behaviour such as who opened the emails, who clicked the links and which pages of our website they have visited. This allows us to measure the performance of our email campaigns and to improve our Service and website.

To do this, we include a single pixel, also called a web beacon, in emails we send. Web beacons allow us to collect information about when you open the email, your IP address, your browser or email client type and other similar details. We also include Web Beacons in the emails we deliver for you. We use the data from those Web Beacons to create reports about how your email campaign performed and what actions your Contacts took. Reports are also available to us when we send email to you, so we may collect and review that information. See the Spotler cookie policy.

Facebook Pixel

This site utilises the Facebook Pixel to track visits to the website from Facebook advertising campaigns. More information can be found on the Facebook GDPR microsite.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are used to make websites work, improve efficiency, improve the user’s experience and provide usage information on websites. Your web browser can choose whether or not to accept cookies. Most browsers are initially set up to accept them. If you disable cookies, some services or website functionality may not be available. For further information about cookies and how to disable them, go to aboutcookies.org.

We use the following cookies:

  • Essential cookies. These are required for the operation of our website. They include cookies that enable you to log in to secure areas of our website and use online forms.
  • Analytical cookies. These allow us to recognise and count visitors and see how visitors move around our website. This helps us improve the way the website works.
  • Marketing cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our website. They may record your visit, pages visited and links followed so advertising and communications are more relevant to your interests.

First & Third Party Cookies

In some special cases we also use cookies provided by trusted third parties. This site uses Google Analytics to help us understand how you use the site and ways we can improve your experience. Google Analytics cookies may track how long you spend on the site and pages that you visit. Third-party analytics tools are used to track and measure usage so that we can continue to produce engaging content.

From time to time we test new features and make subtle changes to the way the site is delivered, such as split testing button colours or the location of content. While new features are being tested, cookies may ensure that you receive a consistent experience and help us understand which optimisations users appreciate.

As we sell products and services, it is important for us to understand how many visitors make a purchase, request a quote or complete a transaction. This data helps us make business predictions and monitor advertising and product costs.

The Google AdSense and Google remarketing service we use to serve advertising uses a DoubleClick cookie to serve more relevant ads across the web and limit how many times a given ad is shown. The remarketing cookie will typically stay active for a period of 30 days.

We also use business-intelligence tools to monitor your use of the site. This tool is called GatorLeads and enables us to provide the most relevant information about our products and services. The software integrates into our Marketing Automation suite called CommuniGator, which we use to send marketing communications to customers, prospects and suppliers.
